I absolutely love the book In my heart by Jo Witek. It is a great book with lovely illustrations and perfect for toddlers discovering big feelings and emotions.

Fun facts about me:

I was born and raised in Porto, the second biggest city in Portugal. I lived 5 years in Scotland before moving to the US almost 12 years ago. I have two boys so in my free time you can find me at soccer games. I love building Legos and traveling with my family!

What do you love the most about teaching/working with little ones?

I think it allows us to see the children growing up and be a part of their lives in the most important years. Also, what is better than a child giggling and smiling to brighten up your day?!

From your perspective, what makes the Children's Center so special?

A member of the current staff told me about Children's Center and the opportunity to become a Teacher Assistant. All the staff were extremely welcoming and caring from day 1 and I could tell that children are well taken care of while they learn and have fun.
